Schumacher to Return to Formula 1?

Michael Schumacher to Return to Formula 1?The website of German newspaper (bild.de) has reported that Michael Schumacher has agreed to come out of retirement to join Mercedes team for the 2010 Formula 1 season. At the time of writing, no confirmation (or, interestingly, denial) has yet been made by either Schumacher or Mercedes, but our good friends at Paddy Power are covering all bases by offering sports betting odds of 5/1 on Schumacher’s outright success in F1 2010.

If the rumours are true and Schumacher does return to Formula 1 (he retired in 2006) then the news will be welcomed by millions of motor racing fans. Of course, that doesn’t mean that such a return would be easy by any stretch of the imagination. A lot has happened in Formula 1 racing over the last few seasons, and adjusting to that change might prove easier said than done.

At some stage we will know for sure whether the rumours that are buzzing around the internet (and also offline) have any basis in truth, but those who fancy getting involved in a good old-fashioned F1 betting market that includes Michael Schumacher can do so – if they are quick – by visiting the Paddy Power website.

Naturally, the fact that Schumacher has been factored into the F1 2010 betting market means that odds for other drivers might offer a tad more value than they would have done previously. Lewis Hamilton heads the market at 11/4, Fernando Alonso is offered at 7/2 and Sebastian Vettel and Jenson Button are both available at 6/1.

Obviously, these prices will change quickly when the truth about Michael Schumacher’s rumoured return to Formula 1 racing emerges, so if you fancy taking advantage of any of them (or any of the other drivers that are currently offered at 9/1 or higher) we suggest you head over to Paddy Power and do so without delay.

Whilst you are at the Paddy Power site, you might also want to look at the special Tiger Woods markets that have been set up following the widely reported rumours of infidelity. You can bet on the first celebrity to admit having an affair with Tiger during his marriage, on the next company that will drop their sponsorship of the world-class golfer, or even on the cost of an ultimate divorce settlement.
