Tevez never to start for Manchester City?

Carlos Tevez 4/9 not to play for CityWilliam Hill are offering 4/9 for Carlos Tevez to never start for Manchester City again in the Premier League after the striker refused to come on as a substitute in City’s 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich yesterday evening. The 27-year-old Argentinean was apparently called upon by his manager with 35 minutes to play but only for the striker to stay on the bench after refusing to play. It’s 13/8 that Mancini goes back on his word and Tevez is given one last chance and is handed a first team start in the league.

It was clear from the Sky cameras that Tevez’s attitude angered Roberto Mancini and after the match the manager was reported in saying: “"If I have my way he will be out. He's finished with me. If we want to improve as a team, Carlos can't play with us. With me, he is finished."

That news may not worry Carlos Tevez, who has been desperate to secure a move away from the club. He’s already tried to leave twice in the past year but after his recent transfer to Corinthians fell through, it did look as if Tevez would be at City until the end of the 2011/12 season. Hills make Juventus the 11/4 favourites to be the next side to capture his signature with Corinthians 4/1. Other transfer betting odds include, 6/1 he signs for AC Milan and also 6/1 he joins Inter Milan.

William Hill’s Joe Crilly said: “Tevez appears to have made his bed and City will now be desperate to get rid of him. It would seem that he will not feature in a City starting XI ever again and Turin may be his most likely destination.”

Following City’s defeat to the Bayern Munich, Mancini’s side are 5/4 from 1/3 (Stan James) to qualify from Group A. It’s 9/1 from 7/4 (Paddy Power) that City bounce back and go on to top the group and 16/1 from 9/1 (Corals) they are crowned European champions.
