The most obvious market is the English Premier League Outright market. At the William Hill sportsbook site the 2009/10 winners Chelsea are installed as the 6/4 favourites, with Manchester United at 5/2 and Manchester City at 9/2. Arsenal are fourth in the betting at 13/2 with Liverpool the next best at 14/1. You can get odds of 25/1 or better about any other team winning the English Premier League title, but if history is anything to go by the winner will come from the first five. As regular readers know, it isn’t our job to give tips, but if we had to pick three teams we would go for Chelsea and Manchester United with a saver on Arsenal.

William Hill also has a handful of Multiples markets which allows you to bet on a particular team winning more than one trophy or none at all. For example, you can bet on Chelsea winning both the Premier League and the Carling Cup at odds of 9/1, or you could just as easily bet on Manchester United winning no trophies at all at odds of 4/5. Obviously the rank outsiders aren’t available for these multiple markets but there are certainly enough markets to grab the interest of anyone who fancies one of the leading teams to fare well (or badly) in the trophies department.

Sports betting fans who like nothing better than to revel in the failure of a particular team might be interested in a market at Paddy Power sportsbook which allows you to bet on the team that will finish the upcoming season at the bottom of the English Premier League. The unfortunate favourites here are Blackpool at odds of 11/10, with West Brom, Wolves and Wigan Athletic completing the front quartet at odds of 7/2, 15/2 and 9/1, respectively.

Visit the William Hill and Paddy Power sportsbook sites to take a look at these and some of the other markets available for the English Premier League 2010/11, then place your bets and good luck in having a profitable season.
