Can Spurs overcome Liverpool?
Tottenham will be looking at putting their title challenge back on track this evening when they travel to the North-West to take on Liverpool. Redknapp’s side are currently 14/5 (Bet365) to come away from Anfield victorious but with injury doubts over Jermain Defoe, Emmanuel Adebayor and Rafael van der Vaart, Spurs will have to be at their very best if they are going to beat a Liverpool side that are currently unbeaten in the league at home. The main positive for Spurs is that they are going into the match full of confidence and in great form. They have only been beaten once in their last 12 matches (away to Manchester City) and have found the back of the net in their last 22 Premier League games, which is the longest run by any club within a single season since 2007-08.
One football betting market that does standout is the 7/4 available with Bet365 for Spurs to win on the draw no bet market. It’s hard to see Liverpool managing to outplay Tottenham and with Liverpool having drawn seven of their 11 league matches at home, the 7/4 could be the safest bet to play. Yes, Liverpool have struggled to find the goals at home in the league this season but with Luis Suarez back from his eight match suspension, the Reds have a man that could easily turn a game. The other player that could provide the goals for Liverpool is Craig Bellamy. The Liverpool number 39 has produced some great performances this season and having scored a total of three goals in his last four games, the Welsh international must be feared.
One player that will be hoping to make his mark against Liverpool is the Tottenham midfielder Gareth Bale. The 22-year-old is set to make his 100th Premier League appearance and having scored three goals in his last two Premier League matches, the 7/2 (Stan James) for Bale to score in 90 minutes could be profit football betting outcome. From the other players that could find the back of the net, Liverpool’s Luis Suarez and Craig Bellamy are 2/1 (Stan James) and 23/10 (Paddy Power) respectively whilst former Everton player Louis Saha is 10/3 (Stan James) to score on his Tottenham debut.
